Peter Hedegaard #32124-3023FS

$995.00

Just holding and looking at a pipe like this lets you know why the best of the Danish pipe makers (and Hedegaard is acknowledged as one of the best) sit at the top of the list. Every aspect of the pipe seems perfect, and besides styling that also includes craftsmanship and construction. Here, the flame grain comes up from the bottom of the bowl, up to the bead, and above that is the Bird’s Eye grain (which also comprises a large part of the bottom of the shank. It’s refined without being delicate. It is a Grp. 5 size; despite looking short and small, I can get my thumb into the fairly shallow chamber. The draw, of course, is open and the stem is vulcanite. On the bottom of the shank is a fill that is dark and blends in with the stain. New.
4.75” long, bowl 1.65” tall. Weight: 1.5 oz., 43 grams.
