The attributes of this simple Stanwell might provide a textbook lesson in what to look for in a used pipe. Shape (classic Canadian, but not at all unwieldy) Condition (excellent) and era, or vintage (in this case, “Made in Denmark). This pipe checks off all three categories, and in addition has nice cross grain and Bird’s Eye. Grp. 4 size with a wide-open draw and vulcanite stem. Used.
