Svend Bang A #81723-4755PC

$2,750.00

This is the kind of shape, the kind of grain and the kind of workmanship that made S. Bang such a famous and sought-after pipe. Besides the “A” (their top grade until they started attaching the initials of Per & Ulf) it also has a “JO” stamped on it, which might indicate the pipe shop it was consigned to. I can’t remember, although I have come across this before and was undoubtedly told what the JO meant. Sorry for the mental lapse. It’s a Grp. 6 size, with a wide-open draw; a little twist and the cleaner goes right to the chamber bottom. I can’t quite tell if the stem is acrylic or vulcanite. To me, it feels like vulcanite, but looks like acrylic. New.
4.95” long, bowl 1.9” tall. Weight: 2 1/8 oz., 60 grams.
