Tom is either proprietor of the Danish Pipe Shop (since 1949) or part owner. The “TE” in the nomenclature is for Tom; why he doesn’t put his full name on the pipe I do not know. Although the pipe doesn’t have a shape number on it, I sense that he makes a number of different shapes for the shop, much as though they were series pipes. That’s just a wild guess. This little Cognac has a lot of cross grain and Bird’s Eye, with no flat spots, or fills as far as the magnifying glass can tell. The pipe is in excellent condition and has an open draw. The stem is acrylic. Although it’s short, the bowl is Grp. 5 size, so let’s call it that. One more thing…the tenon can take a 9mm filter. Used.
